Hello 👋
It feels like the holiday season is in full swing—whether you're preparing for celebrating the 4th of July or just trying to stay cool in the heat (we’re having a heatwave in the UK as I write this)! you’re likely looking for light and quick crochet projects to take on the go (or to stitch in front of a fan). I’ve rounded up fun keychain patterns that are perfect for using up yarn scraps and fit the bill for quick makes. I’ll also be sharing news of a festive Crochet-A-Long for Christmas in July.
Thank you for your support and lovely comments for my Isla top. Don’t forget, if you need help the best way to contact me is through the Facebook group. If you missed the free PDF, you can still find the free pattern on my blog (ad supported).
I’ve now gathered my free poncho patterns in one place on the blog (easier for me to keep track and easy for you to scroll if you’re looking for different styles). I’ll add to the page when a new poncho pattern publishes too. You can find those patterns here.
🔑 Keychain Pattern Roundup
Crochet keychains are quick to make—most take under an hour—making them great for instant gratification or to fit into your busy days. They’re also perfect for trying new stitches or amigurumi techniques (without the added pressure of a big project!).

Christmas in July Mosaic Crochet Blanket Pattern – Free CAL
It’s never too early for Christmas 😊
This free CAL is hosted by Erin at Juniper & Oakes. 8 designers have come together to each contribute a Christmas themed design that celebrates this season.
The blanket is worked in overlay mosaic (my favourite technique) and a new section will be released for free on the designer’s website each Tuesday and Friday in July.
There’s also a prize given to a random participant who completes the blanket.
The blanket is gorgeous!

🧶 Coming Soon:
I’ll be in touch in a couple of weeks when I’m planning on releasing my short-sleeve cardigan (I shared a sneak peak of the stitch pattern last time). There will be a promotion (for a limited time) to download the free PDF.
I’ve been working on a round-up of flower granny squares (scrap yarn projects and portable for on the move 😊). I followed one of the tutorials and I’m including it in a blanket design - it’s also given me some ideas for other granny squares! I’m hoping to share the roundup with you later on in July.
I’m currently working on a lightweight sweater worked with Hobbii Twister. I just have some finishing off to do and then fingers crossed it will be ready to share with you next month.
See you in your inbox in a couple of weeks.
Happy crocheting until then!
