Welcome to the first catchup newsletter of June.
I’m sharing a new pattern release today, fab savings with Lion Brand and a Threadstack Directory with the focus on fibre arts and crafty things.
If you missed the free PDF promotion last week for the Amelia cardigan pattern you can still view it for free on the blog (ad supported). I received such fab comments – have to admit I was a bit unsure about sharing this one as I wasn’t sure if others would like it – that’s why I talked about it for so long before publishing the pattern! No need for me to worry though 😊 I’m always open to suggestions for patterns you’d like to see from me! It doesn’t have to be by commenting on this post, you can message me or reply to this email.
So far everything is going to plan and this week I’m moving away from cardigans with the release of my Elise summer top pattern.
Elise Crochet Tank Top
Straightforward construction with just two rectangular panels and minimal shaping, this pattern is accessible for all skill levels. It’s easy to customize the length and you can choose whether to add the ruffle feature around the top of the armholes. Personally I think the ruffle adds a bit of fun but if you prefer plain, that works too.
I’ve used the same block stitch pattern that I used on my Larissa cardigan but used different yarn (100% soft cotton).
To celebrate the release, I’m running a promotion on Ravelry which is running until the end of the day tomorrow 4th June (BST).
How the promotion works
Visit the pattern on my blog and click on the image that says ‘Free Ravelry Download Click here to Redeem the Code.’ You’ll be taken to 'Redeem a Coupon Code.' Click 'use this coupon' to be taken to the shopping basket on Ravelry. Click 'check out now' and the pattern will be in your library. Don’t check out unless it is showing zero! Any problems, let me know.
If you like the pattern, it would be helpful if you could click on the blue heart on the bottom right of the pattern on my blog. It helps others find the pattern too. Thank you.
Clicking the button below will take you to my website.

Threadstack Directory
This directory is hosted on Substack and created by
from Create Me Free. It’s both a community and a directory - a collection of Substack newsletters about knitting, crochet, embroidery, weaving, sewing and more! A fab idea, I’m excited to see it grow and evolve.
I recommend you check it out and follow those you feel drawn to.
Thank you to Kathryn for getting in touch and including me 😊
I’d also like to give a shout out to
for featuring me in her Sunday Scroll feature right here on Substack.Check out the feature and if you resonate with Jodie, give her a follow.
Planned Pattern Releases
Maisie Poncho Top (cotton)
Lacy Sweater (cotton)
Granny Stitch Cardigan (worked lengthways)
Hexagon Cardigan (a little bit different)
Tapestry Cat Book Pouch
(and I’ve also found a sweater using blended granny squares and ripple stitch sleeves I crocheted last year but didn’t assemble!).
Planned Projects
Chunky Sweater (I’ve done several swatches and chosen a stitch - yay!)
Long Cardigan – aran/worsted weight (still crocheting swatches – not happy yet!)
Possible DK cardigan
Let me know if there are any projects you would like to make this autumn/fall/winter.
Just a heads up that from Thursday for two weeks I’m running a giveaway for a crochet bucket hat kit (UK only). Keep any eye on the blog if you would like to enter. Don’t worry about subscribing twice, you won’t be added again if you enter your email address and won’t receive two copies of the same newsletter.
That’s it from me this week. Thanks for all your support! Have a fab week ahead.
