And so another week has sped by … I’ve been alternating a pattern release with a roundup each week (so far this year) but with Pete being off last week, it was easier for me to write up my own design than research patterns. So today I have another new pattern release for you!
The last roundup I shared with you was for the free crochet bunting patterns and last week I shared my striped ‘rainbow’ cardigan. Thank you for your lovely messages about the cardigan. It does give me a boost to know you’re enjoying my patterns :)
I know quite a few of you use Grow to bookmark your favourite posts and websites. You may have noticed that I now have this option on my website too. If you click on the blue heart on the bottom of the screen on the right, the post will be bookmarked for you to return to later. If you click on the icon underneath the heart you will get options for search, go to your bookmarks or your Grow account and also share the post. If you like my posts I would be over the moon if you clicked on the heart. If you don’t already have a Grow account, you’ll find the benefits to you on this article.
Baby Shower Blog Hop
Before I move on to my new pattern release and the promotion, I wanted to let you know that I will be taking part in the Baby Shower Blog Hop being organised by Ambassador Crochet. It begins this Sunday and will run until May 11th where you will be able to grab a free pattern suitable for a baby shower gift - think blankets, toys, lovey, rattle, hats and even baby bloomers! My day is May 6th.
I’ll share the link next week for the hop but if you want to get ahead, visit Ambassador Crochet to find all the details on Sunday.
Long Sleeve Summer Cardigan
New Pattern Release + Free PDF download
Despite being a long-sleeved garment, my cardigan is designed with a lightweight, breathable crochet stitch pattern (V-Stitch and Granny Stitch), making it ideal for summer wear. It provides just the right amount of coverage for cooler evenings without feeling too heavy!
There’s no ribbing for the hem or sleeves or edging for the front (I’ve used stacked stitches that keep a lovely straight edge). The cuffs are open - no perspiring wrists - and a deep V-neck, giving plenty of places where air can flow through.
My pattern is worked in 5 separate simple shapes with minimal shaping which are then seamed together. I’ve written instructions for sizes S to 3X in UK and US Crochet Terms.
How to access the free PDF
Visit the pattern on my website and where it says ‘How to get this crochet pattern’ click on the Ravelry button which will take you to the pattern on Ravelry. Where it says Ravelry Download, click the buy it now button and add code NLSSC. Do not check out unless it shows the code applied and the cardigan is free to download! The promotion is running until end of day tomorrow (UK time).
